ECA & the JIB
The ECA is committed, to working in partnership with Unite the Union, through the Joint Industry Board for the Electrical Contracting Industry (JIB) to ensure the electrical contracting industry develops the most effective industrial relations and safety standards and practices in the electrotechnical sector.
The main way of achieving this objective by the ECA and Unite the Union is to negotiate and agree wages and main terms and conditions of employment for electrotechnical employees in our sector.
ECA Registered Members join for free
ECA Registered Members are entitled to free membership of the Joint Industry Board (JIB) for the electrical contracting industry. The benefits of joining the JIB compliment the services provided by the ECA and help you to protect your most valuable asset - your employees.
JIB membership provides potential cost savings in areas such as mileage and lodging allowances, ECS card discounts and dispute resolution.
As a JIB member you can also claim up to 75% course fee funding from the JIB Skills Development Fund, up to £3000 per operative.
